Symbol

Derived Types: FillSymbol, LineSymbol, MarkerSymbol, TextSymbol, XMLBinarySymbol

An abstract class that serves as a base to its derived types which represent features.

Remarks

ArcGIS Server uses three categories of symbols to draw geographic features or elements:  

• MarkerSymbol

• LineSymbol

• FillSymbol

A fourth symbol, TextSymbol is used to draw labels or text elements.
