Description: The Oak Creek river layer was first developed in 1992 as a coverage from the existing drainage layer. The coverage was converted into a shapefile and later into an SDE feature class. Updates are made using the most current aerial imagery and FEMA data. The extended section of the river past the city limits was added in 2007 using the new aerial imagery.Projection: Arizona State Plane, International Feet, Zone 3176, NAD83.

Description: The parcel layer was originally created in 1998 with attributes related to Community Development (CDDATA). The CDDATA layer was created as a coverage and shape file. The current layer was renamed and converted into an SDE feature class. Attributes for sewer, taxes, property details, police CAD columns, demographics and Springbrook columns have been added to the layer. Yavapai County and Coconino County provide updated parcel information approximately once a month. The GIS updates the city parcel layer with the county data which may include parcel splits, parcel combinations, parcel adjustments and parcel number updates. City parcel ownership information is updated quarterly using the county data. Yavapai County parcels are assigned 408 and 800 numbers. Coconino County parcels are assigned 401 and 900 numbers. The 800 and 900 numbers are non-taxed properties, such as ROW and open space. Coconino County does not parcel the majority of ROW and open space land. For analysis and attribute descriptions, the city creates parcels for this land and assigns 000 numbers. Projection: Arizona State Plane, International Feet, Zone 3176, NAD83.
